Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy explains when refunds are, and are not, available in relation to services purchased from Bidq trading as “Bidq” through www.bidq.co.uk and any associated pages, portals, white-labelled pages, partner-branded pages, forms and related digital interfaces.

By placing an order with Bidq, you agree to this Refund Policy in addition to our Terms and Conditions.

2. General Rule

All sales are final.

Because Bidq supplies paid-for digital, bespoke and document-led services that are commenced promptly after order, refunds are not offered except where required by law.

This applies to, without limitation:

•Standard reviews;

•24-Hour reviews;

•Supplements;

•Solicitor Review Calls; and

3. No Refunds After Purchase

Once an order is placed, no refund will be given merely because:

•you change your mind;

•you decide not to bid, purchase, exchange or complete;

•you no longer require the service;

•you are unhappy with the outcome, conclusion or risk profile in the report;

•you disagree with the report’s findings;

•you do not upload the required documents promptly;

•the property is not suitable for your intended use;

•you choose not to approve a Supplement;

•the transaction does not proceed;

•financing is delayed, refused or unavailable; or

•you fail to use an add-on or subscription feature.

4. Orders Rejected, Paused or Not Progressed

Bidq reserves the right to reject, pause, limit or discontinue an order where, for example:

•the uploaded pack is incomplete;

•documents are missing, inconsistent, corrupt or unreadable;

•the matter is outside Bidq’s scope;

•the property is outside England and Wales;

•required onboarding information or questionnaire responses are not provided; or

•the instruction creates legal, operational or regulatory risk.

Where this happens, no refund will be due unless Bidq decides otherwise in its absolute discretion.

5. Supplements

Some matters require additional paid review because the uploaded documents are missing and/or inconsistent and additional review is needed.

No Supplement fee will be charged unless Bidq first notifies you and you approve it.

If you do not approve a required Supplement, Bidq may pause, limit or stop the service. In that case, no refund will be due.

6. Solicitor Review Calls

Solicitor Review Calls are optional paid add-ons.

No refund will be given where:

•you fail to book or use the call within the stated validity period;

•the call expires unused;

•you do not attend;

•you attend late;

•you are unprepared; or

•the call does not answer the questions you hoped it would answer.

Unless Bidq states otherwise, booked calls must be used within 14 days of purchase.

8. Consumer Cancellation Rights

Where you are purchasing as a consumer, you may in some circumstances have legal cancellation rights for distance contracts under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Those rules can be affected where:

•you expressly ask Bidq to begin the service within the cancellation period; and

•the service is fully performed within that period after the required acknowledgments are given.

By ordering from Bidq, you expressly request that Bidq begins work immediately and acknowledge that, to the extent permitted by law, your cancellation rights may be lost, reduced or extinguished once performance begins or once the relevant service has been fully performed. 

If you purchase for business purposes, consumer cancellation rights do not apply except where mandatory law says otherwise.

9. Statutory Rights Not Excluded

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

In particular, where you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights if a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill or otherwise fails to meet mandatory legal standards. 

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment reversal without proper basis, Bidq may:

•suspend ongoing work;

•suspend account access;

•terminate services; and

•take steps to recover sums due.

This is in addition to any other rights available to Bidq under its Terms and Conditions.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be made.

12. Changes to this Policy

Bidq may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any updated version will take effect when posted on the website, unless stated otherwise.
